From concept to reality, the new SCAR-L (MK 16) and SCAR-H (MK17) exceeds real world expectations. Chosen by the U.S. Special Operations Command (USS0COM) as its next generation modular assault rifle, the MK 16 is a 21st century weapon ideal for operations in today’s challenging tactical environment. Completely ambidextrous with multiple integral MIL-STD 1913 mounting rails and a telescoping, folding stock with adjustable cheekpiece, the MK 16 represents the most innovative and adaptable individual combat rifle ever conceived. The highly ergonomic design commonality of the MK 16 and MK 17 allow for enhanced muscle memory that provides operators a cross-training benefit with both platforms.

Now enough of the history lesson and down to the nuts and bolts of it, the SCAR is not in my opinion a great CQB rifle but as an assault rifle it rocks, this is definitely my weapon of choice when it comes to assault rifles.

I have the DBOY SCAR, played with it in its standard form for a couple of games and then had the motor die, so I did the one thing I love to do and that’s make it better, improve on what the OEM manufacturers and done, and yes I made it great, I’ve upgraded the all the internals, custom made cylinder and cylinder head, full metal teeth piston and piston head, Hi-torque gears, Hi-torque motor, upgraded spring, Madbull bucking and finally a 430mm 6.03 SRC barrel and the finale an 11.1v lipo Firefox battery.

The DBOY SCAR now shoots at 405fps consistently, has some serious range and the the ROF has not been officially checked but it throws a stream of BBs that makes you think twice about moving.

The next upgrade would be the hopup, as the are no aftermarket units in SA and will need to import one, overall for someone who wants and awesome AEG that stands out from the rest of the usual M4′s.
